Our caravan is set in a secluded area, ideal for a romantic hideaway, but whilst enjoying the rural countryside there is so much to see and do.
Below is a small selection of the many attractions and things to do in the Waveney Valley and further afield in Suffolk and Norfolk:
Valley Farm Vineyard – 4 miles
14 acres of vineyards that produce fine English wines using only sustainable viticultural practices.
Bungay Castle – 8 miles
Bungay is a market town on the Norfolk/Suffolk border and is steeped in history.
RSPB Mismere Nature Reserve – 8 miles
RSPB Countryside walks, wildlife watching, guided walks, family activities, RSPB Shop and tearoom.
Adnams Brewery - 14 miles
Enjoy a tour around the famous Adnams brewery at Southwold.
Southwold Pier – 15 miles
Gift shops, family friendly eateries and the famous ‘under the pier show’ – an amazing array of unusual home-made slot machines and simulator rides. ‘Best Tourism Experience 2008’ EET.
Framlingham Castle – 19 miles
Framlingham Castle is a magnificent 12th century fortress with a long and colourful past which makes a fascinating family day out in Suffolk.
Africa Alive! – 21 miles
See giraffes, zebras, rhinos and ostriches roaming wild in the safari park based on the plains of Africa. Lookout lodge, animal encounters, feeding talks, safari road train & indoor adventure play area. ‘Best Suffolk Attraction’ 2006 & 2008.
The Meare, Thorpeness – 21 miles
Over 40 acres of water – none of which is more than three feet deep – with islands to explore and a variety of water craft for hire including kayaks and rowing boats.
Easton Farm Park – 22 miles
Enjoy a family day out at this open farm, with small animal petting sessions, farm walks, themed activities and a gift shop.
Baylham House Rare Breeds Farm – 23 miles
Working livestock farm breeding rare and endangered breeds of cattle, sheep, goats poultry and pigs. Animal feeding, picnic area, café and gift shop. Voted by the public as “The Best Visitor Experience in Suffolk” in both 2006 and 2007 and was runner up in 2008 and 2009.
Pleasurewood Hills – 28 miles
White knuckle rides, roller coasters and entertainment.
Somerleyton Hall – 35 miles
Early Victorian residence in Anglo-Italian style with 12 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens.
Go Ape! High Wire Forest Adventure – 45 miles
Forest adventure park for adults and over 10’s including massive rope ladder, tarzan swing, zip wires and high wire rope bridges.
Bewilderwood – 47 miles
A huge forest of wild family fun and adventure. Treehouses, zip wires, jungle bridges, Crocklebogs, boat trips, toddler areas and really yummy food.
